Wherever Danger Street is going, it's bound to have readers hooked at this moment. It's a tantalizing addition and exactly the sort of development that will leave readers eagerly awaiting additional revelations. Although the resolution and perspective is not entirely clear, the Outsiders and Green Team are woven into a metaphor for class that seemingly serves as an origin for much of the present narrative. The emergence of the Outsiders weaves together a number of distinct elements and provides a clear thematic lens to consider the developing conflict. That sense of humor spans many of the other sequences and provides another gut-busting laugh as the end of Lady Cop's "not a date." Throughout all of these encounters, new connections are built and a substantial portion of this narrative's background is delivered. That occurs in brief sequences like the Dingbats breaking out of prison across two book-ended pages that deliver one of the funniest pair of panels printed this summer even if you suspect the ending, it's delivered perfectly by Jorge Fornés. Jenna Andersonĭanger Street #8 is an exercise in building anticipation and it's incredibly successful in doing so. John Timms, Sergio Acuna, and Nikola Cizmesija's art flows through the chaos seamlessly, setting us up for a finale that could pack a real punch. As the battle against Joker Incorporated grows even more unpredictable, we're met with a good dose of backstory, intensity, and some fleeting moments of pathos for some of the series' supporting characters from Ed Brisson's script. Other than that though, Shazam really is a ton of fun.The seeming penultimate issue of Batman Incorporated continues to offer a lot of the same, but with some fascinating nuggets of thematics and characterization. Yeah Zachary Levi feels like a kid, but just not this kid. With this, it's two different actors, and it really does feel like two different characters.

I guess it's supposed to be something like with Spider-Man where when he's in the suit, he lets loose and feels more free to get all his quips going, but with Spider-Man that works better because the character is still played by Tom Holland. Billy is this brooding sad character, and Shazam is fun and wacky. I don't quite buy Shazam and Billy Batson as the same character. Where it doesn't quite work for me, and really my only nitpick, is the blending of the two elements.

The villain is a bit standard, but still enjoyable enough, and the movie is just a great time. Zachary Levi is absolutely fantastic as an adult superhero with a child's mind, and he's just damn funny. The superhero comedy stuff all works too. I didn't think I'd like all the other orphan kids, his new family, but I really enjoyed their stories.
The other funny this is, it kind of works! Kind of. The funny thing with Shamaz is it almost feels like half of it is an indie film about an orphan boy finding a family and the other half is this wacky superhero movie. Rating: PG-13 (Language|Intense Sequences of Action|Suggestive Material)
Thaddeus Sivana can get his hands on Shazam's magical abilities. But he'll need to master them quickly before the evil Dr. Still a kid at heart, Shazam revels in the new version of himself by doing what any other teen would do - have fun while testing out his newfound powers. In 14-year-old Billy Batson's case, all he needs to do is shout out one word to transform into the adult superhero Shazam. We all have a superhero inside of us - it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out.
